Letter requesting I call DWP was created by B3lla
My last PIP claim went to tribunal. I kept my care component but lost the mobility as the tribunal didn't believe the problems I have when outside of my home. My current award ends January 2022 but I have received a letter from DWP stating the following: We are writing to remind you that your PIP will end on, date. We understand that you may still need PIP if your circumstances are the same or worse. We want to help you to continue to claim if you need to. If you still need help please call us.
Is this a new strategy to trip claimants up? I don't want to call them and be under pressure or tricked into saying the wrong things. My condition has worsened. The D&A has now been diagnosed as BPD and I have been advised by my MHP, not to drive when stressed due to dissociation and my ability to engage with others and keep myself safe.
Could anyone give advice on how I should approach this, please?
Many thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hello B3lla,
This does not sound like a trick, but simply giving you the opportunity to have your current award reviewed before it ends next January. Do give them a ring!

Dear B3lla, please do make sure you get everything you should, by starting to study the claim guide on here a few pages every day. making notes perhaps of points that grab you as relevant to you. This way, once you have called and are sent a form, you'll do the best job of getting all you should by filling it in really well.
