work and work-related activity was created by terdun9
Good morning everybody, please may I ask, work and work-related activity does this always give you payment, I'm asking because I had to go onto UC because my husband is now getting his State pension, and I always used to be on his ESA claim.
so March came he had his ESA claim stopped and I had to do the UC claim its been very messy with them making constant mistakes, I have a few questions I can't seem to get answers too
They have my husband on the claim with work and work-related activity, not me when I understand you can only have 1 on any claim.
Because he gets his state pension 4 weekly and only that.£718.40 plus his pips of £453.20
then there is my claim for UC
I am getting £67.60 carers for him. and my pips of £608.60 and I have just been allowed work and work-related activity with no payment and I don't understand why I don't get the payment for this When other people I know get a payment for there to work and work-related activity.

PLEASE can someone give me a real answer to this work and work-related activity question is I can't seem to find an answer from anyone that is right everyone says something different?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

Hi Jacqui

You are classed as a mixed aged couple. When you applied for UC did you seek advice from a Welfare Rights Organisation? Reading your post I would advise you to seek help from a WRO who can take all your circumstances into consideration. Unfortunately we do not have all your details so can only give generic advice. advicelocal.uk

You should have been informed that when you apply for UC you need to give your work coach a 'fit note' you should then receive a UC 50 form to complete.

You will not get any addition element for LCW in your UC unless you werein receipt of it before April 2017, you can only get an additional element if you have been awarded LCWRA.

In order to qualify for the LCWRA/Support Group you need to;

* meet one or more of the relevant descriptors, or
* meet one of the associated Exceptional Circumstances rules.

The Support Group descriptors and the Exceptional Circumstances are listed in the Claiming ESA guides in the members area.
