Hi Jatt
A mixed aged disabled couple, one in receipt of AA and the other in receipt of daily living component of PIP can each qualify for SDP. The younger of the couple would need to be in receipt of IR ESA whilst the older of the couple in receipt of Pension Credit.
There was a change in the regulations two years ago, prior to the change, mixed aged couples were based on the oldest of the couple but now it is based on the youngest of a couple. We therefore do not come across that scenario now as mixed aged couples cannot claim PCG until the youngest of the couple is of SP age in which case ESA would stop, but you can have 2 x SDP providing you both meet the qualifying criteria.

Hi Jatt
It would depend on the age of the daughter, if daughter over 18 then both would have to be on a qualifying benefit to qualify for SDP.
