PA4 report Justification for descriptor choice 4)

Daughter has received her PA4 and award letter.

She is putting in a MR for Care part of the award.

The HCP has put numbers 1) - 4)

1) Restrictions reported
2) Recommendations and evidence used to support
3)Reasons why the reported restrictions are not supported by evidence

But its the 4) that we are confused about, they all state
4) Other descriptor supported by some evidence and the reasons why they havn't been advised (where applicable(
NA

What does that mean please?

Hi Lorraine

Sorry for the delay. None of us know exactly what this means - you need to query it with the DWP

hi Lorraine
I have had that written on several sections of the report from my recent PiP assessment.

It is because sometimes people may meet more than one descriptor in an activity and a second descriptor may have some evidence but not enough to warrant the descriptor being applied. They can then explain why it was NOT applied.

eg. needs prompting to get dressed (YES)
needs someone to help them dress (occasionally but not often, only when they are very tired)

that is not a very good example but hopefully you get the gist.

If they write point 4 and then put NA - then that means another descriptor was NOT considered nor any reason necessary
