ESA Assessment was created by bgregg
Hi everyone,

I received a letter yesterday from the Health Advisory service telling me I'll be having a phone call with them on 11th August. Last year I had an assessment with them after applying for New Style in May, shortly after that assessment I got a letter telling me they didn't have enough info to make a decision and I was awarded it in the meantime (they awarded me Class 1 credits only as I didn't have enough for actual payment. In May this year I was sent a letter saying them credits have now stopped as the claim had reached it's 365 day limit.

I thought this claim had ended so I'm unsure on why I have to be assessed again? I've tried to read online on why but I'm getting no answers, the only thing I keep reading is that my PIP could be affected from this assessment (I get enhanced till 2025). How can I cancel this ESA claim please I don't want to go through any more stress. I don't claim anything at all other than PIP as I have a bit of savings I live on and I really don't want to loose my PIP again, I can't face it. This system is really stressing me out.

Sorry for the long post, I appriciate your time.

Hi Billy

Just ring the DWP and tell them you have no wish to proceed with a claim for ESA.
