You need JavaScript enabled to view it. about evidence reminder & DWP have "responded". I have no appeal open. I suffer from severe anxiety & depression & this is now going to send me over the edge.
I fear my details at DWP may be hacked. Has anyone else had similar experience of this?? It has my name and an appeal number on which i didnot make??? please help

Hi DC,
What you describe sounds very worrying!
Firstly you may wish to contact DWP just to check. However I am sure these are likely to be scams. If so you can forward the scam emails to

You might be able to put a block on the address/especially if you go into your email settings. Do not respond to these emails, and maybe change your email and Internet passwords.
Please check your bank account to ensure that has gone missing from the account.
Stay safe and try not to worry. Scammers prey on vulnerable people, and it is important not to let them win.

DC try not to panic easy said than done I know, but do NOT give any NI numbers or any further personal information for that matter, if you haven't put in an appeal just ignore it and get the DWP to look into what this is doing to you, or even get the Police involved.
Follow what also LL26 has advised.
That's why I never divulge any phone numbers or emails to this department DWP.

Hi D C
Any emails that you receive and have concerns that they may be scams, then forward them on to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Never divulge your bank details, NI number DOB or address to emails sent to you out of the blue. If an email looks too good to be true it is probably a scam.
