CHDA refusing to record phone assessment

More

I was invited for a UC work capability video assessment, but I phoned CHDA to request a phone assessment instead. They have rebooked me for a phone call next week.

I then asked if the assessment could be recorded, and they said no. Reason given: The assessors work from home and they don’t have the technology in place to record.

Is this true? Has anyone had their work capability phone assessment recorded? Should I give them another call or is it useless?

Grateful for any input

Replied by Catherine on topic CHDA refusing to record phone assessment
Hello Ahmad,

I have not tried requesting a formal recording of a Capability for Work assessment, but have made covert recordings, which I would have been prepared to use if needed.

It is certainly true that most assessors are still working from home, but if you are happy to wait longer for an assessment then it is probably worth another call to the CHDA to see if you can have an assessment with someone who can record them.

You might find this page of use www.gov.uk/government/publications/work-...-to-face-assessments
