Latest news now my head has cleared a little

Hi All,

Sorry I've not posted for a while but I needed to get wway from it for a while to try and get my brain back into gear.

Whilst it's not entirely clear - I am bit better.

I left it a full week and have today contacted the DWP about my PIP review and request for a PB assessment.

The lady phoned ATOS on my behalf and she was told the request was definitely there and that the man she spoke to had made a fresh note on their system.

So it's not definite, but there is still a chance.

Also, I don't know what she knows, but she said another four weeks wait was likely which will take it to five months which I still find is far too long.

So the wait still goes on so I'll just have to hang on.

Regards,

Phrank.

Hi Phrank and thank you for staying in touch. I fear you have just about summed it up - you just have to hang on. That feels like the game for most people when they apply for PIP, but then suddenly there is a flurry of activity. As we have said before, it really seems as if you have done everything you can, the art is now to try and forget about it until your papers reach the top of the pile.

Hi Phrank,

Like other members and the great moderators on here, I have been following your journey.

I hope you get the PB and you don’t have to wait too long.

As others have said, and i’ll say it in my own words “ put it in a wee box and put it to the back of your head if you can for now, the waiting drives you crazy and there’s nothing you can do to speed it up, unfortunately. Don’t let it consume you. Whatever happens it’s just another bridge to cross and whatever happens, we are all behind you.

Kindest regards, loubylou.

Thanks for your reply, Catherine.

Yes, you're right there's little I can do now.

All the questions have been asked and all the answers and advice have been listened to and noted so it's out of my hands.

But common sense WILL prevail in the end.

Regards,

Phrank.

Hi Loubilou,

Thank you so much for your kind words and support.

posts like yours keep me going. I find it really hard to 'let go' so to speak, but I know it's something I must do.

this whole process, or should have said the way I have let it affect me, has spoilt what I really should be looking forward to - my state pension early next year.

Perhaps that is the distraction I need and think about that instead.

Kind regards,

Phrank.

Hi Phrank,
Thanks for the update. Yes, its a waiting game now. Time to take up knitting or painting, as long as it doesn't conflict with what you said on the PIP form!
Good luck.
Stay in touch!
