Success at Change of Circumstances Review

I requested a review of my PIP award some time ago and I got a phone call from the DWP ten days ago asking for more details of how my disability affected me. I had used your invaluable guides to back up the evidence I submitted, and the lady from the DWP just wanted more info on how I managed in the home. After a 20 minute call she said she had enough info to make a decision, adding that as I had just turned 65 the award would be reviewed in 10 years.

I was on standard rate for both components, but was upgraded to higher rate mobiity while remaining on standard rate care.

This was better than I had hoped for, as I was more concerned about daily living than mobility, but with a ten year award I can apply for reassessment when my condition worsens (as it will!).

All this is down to reading your guides carefuly, and reading the real life posts on this forum.

Thanks for the effort you put into this, it has been a game changer.
