Hi Mods I have received Mandatory Reconsideration Notice of the overpayment of ESA. Letter states.. I am able to change the decision, wholly in your favor, in that there is no overpayment of ESA. It goes on to say that i provided a detailed account of the timeline of the events. This account has not changed from when you first explained your circumstances and you have not provided any conflicting information. Your account of the timeline and conversations is therefore consistent and you were a credible witness, meaning that I have no reason to doubt your version of events. In view of this, I have decided that on the balance of probability that you did report you had a carer to ESA in March 2019. Therefore, I believe your claim was not updated accordingly due to an official error. GREAT NEWS. I would like to send the full 6 pages plus MR letter to Benefitsandwork to have a look at, maybe it could help some poor soul like myself to keep plodding on for justice. I must stress I KEEP all correspondence from DWP,ESA,PIP,Carers,Job centre. My paper trail has proved invaluable. Jackie JPC

Hi Jackie, Thank you for telling us that your overpayment has been cancelled. Your story shows that it is vital that you keep copies of paperwork and keep notes about phone calls. To other readers, whilst this all sounds tedious, once in a while you will need the notes and papers, so please do keep everything! LL26
