Pip claim sent in July

Hi I wonder if someone could be so kind as to offer any help please
I submitted my pip claim in July, I called DWP who said it had been sent to atos ?? within the week of receiving my application, is there a phone number that I may call directly to ascertain they have received it
Is it normal for application to take as long as this is, apologies if I'm being impatient as never claimed anything before

Sent my pip review form back at the end of July so don’t think I’ll hear anything for a while as she said on the phone that they are doing new claims first

a lot of backlogs at the moment. I applied in March and only had my assessment last week. I remember phoning the assessment people in June or July to check and was told they were still processing things from 2020!!!

seems to vary by area with some havig huge delays and others only small ones. If it would reassure you though proably best to phone and check they have it as at least you'll know then
