Evidence Date Order. was created by Ultravox
Just a quick question on something I am not sure of.
When sending in Evidence for ESA/PIP reviews/claims is it better to:
Put the latest dated evidence on the top of the pile working down to the oldest dated or
The oldest dated evidence on the top of the pile working down to the latest dated.
Which would be more convenient for Assessors.
Hope my question makes sense.
Kind Regards,
Rob.

Hi Rob100

Yes, your question makes perfect sense and I don't think there is a right or wrong answer.
Do what feels right. As long as it is clear what your evidence is the assessor will be happy.

I don't actually put things in date order. I put them in question order, but that's because I refer to my evidence in every question.

this question never occured to me... an interesting one though

personally I essentially sectioned the evidence off into categoriesaccording to where the evidence came from, so in my case one stack for GP stuff, one for CMHT stuff, one for support outside of the NHS stuff, etc then wrote a cover letter for each stack.

To be honest though it probably isn't that important as long as it makes sense and is easy for the decision maker to get through

Hi Rob100

You have raised an interesting question which I have not seen before on the forum.

It is interesting to see how others have answered your question, I like the logic of BIS's answer and I also like Hazel's. I do a combination of both BIS and Hazel, Consultant/Psychiatrist letters always on top and highlight their title Consultant ... Psychiatrist with my highlighter usually bright yellow.

Hi All,

I think I'll continue putting the latest dated evidence at the top of the pile as the latest information about me is what is important and then going back about 4 years.
I just thought that if putting the oldest evidence at the top of the pile might give the Assessor an idea of the length of time I have had my ongoing health issues.
Kind Regards,
Rob.

I put all my evidence as appendices. I do a covering sheet with a table on it. The number of the appendix is in the left-hand column and details of the appendix are in the right-hand column. In the text answering each section, I refer to appendix 1 or 2 or whatever. If it's a multi-page document I refer to the page number. If I just want to refer to a specific part I refer the lines eg see Appendix 5 page 6 Line 15 to 20.
