Hi glimpy123

I am not too sure, I would have assumed that the assessors produce a report even if it is a paper based as they are medically trained, although in reading some of the reports I do some times wonder. :(

Hi All, it was after our daughter got a text saying the report had gone to the DWP that I knew they had carried out the paper-based assessment I fought for. I then phoned and got sent the PA3. It was this that was full of omissions, inaccuracies and twistings. And btw fyi the assessor had tried to phone a couple of the hospital clinics daughter had been under - -for so few minutes she didn't even get through....
So I wrote the letter that I keep referring to, as Phrank says taking it apart piece by piece for the DM to know the truth and make sure he/she actually read all the supporting evidence.
best wishes,
Denby

From my understanding, initially, my Pip review form went to a Case Manager (Decision Maker) and not a health professional. From the text I received (please see my first question), does this mean that all my info was then passed to Independent Assessment Services, who wrote a report, and sent it to DWP? If so, this seems very quick as it was all done in approx one and a half weeks - very unusual for DWP! Or, could it be that my info has not been sent to IAS as DWP has enough info to make a decision, in which case would an assessment report still be produced (but why then receive a text saying “we have received your written report”?) The more I think about it, the more confused I get.

Hi glimpy123, I had a paper based review and got the result within 3 weeks. I rang for the report and was told decision was made by case manager alone so there was no PA3 report. I was told there were some notes on the system but that I couldn't have access to these as these were for the case managers own use. In my case I retained the same award for 4 years. I hope this helps.
Best wishes

Hi an ex nurse. Did you receive the following text before you received the decision?

We’ve received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we’ve made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don’t need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you.”

Hi glimpy123, I have never provided the dwp with a mobile number so they wouldn't have been able to send me a text. I hope that helps.
Best wishes
