Car tax was created by Souter
Hi, I was awarded enhanced rate of care component but nothing for mobility. My question is do you qualify for a reduction in your car tax or do you need both mobility and care. Many thanks

Hi Souter,
The car tax reduction only applies to those who have PIP mobility. Daily Living awards don't entitle any reduction in car tax.
I hope this helps.

Hi all,
I get the higher mobility component of PIP, so would I qualify for the reduction in road tax?
If so how much is the reduction and secondly, how do I go about it?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Phrank.

Hi Phrank,
You just need to take your "certificate of entitlement" that they send through with your award paperwork to the post office when you renew your tax
