UC NO NI CONTRIBUTIONS AUTISM was created by gerry1964
MY DAUGHTER HAS AUTISM. WAS SELF EMPLOYED MADE LITTLE INCOME FROM IT, MORE OF A HOBBY. HAS MADE NO NI CONTRIBUTIONS. BEEN SIGNED OFF WORK SINCE AUGUST 2020. HAS BEEN CALLED TO JOB CENTRE TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL INFO RE SELF EMPLOYMENT EARNINGS, BUSINESS PLAN RECEIPTS ETC - WOULD THIS POTENTIALLY BE TO MAKE HER LOOK FOR EMPLOMENT? SHE REALLY CAN'T COPE WITH A JOB AS ENDED UP IN HOSPITAL. AUTISM MAKES DAILY LIVING A HUGE CHALLENGE - IF SHE WAS PUT IN SUPPORT GROUP FOR UC, DOESNT QUALIFY FOR ESA AS NO NI CONTRIBS WHAT WOULD SHE BE ENTITLED TO. WOULD AHE HET THE BASIC ALLOWANCE AND THEN ADDITIONAL MONEY DUE TO DISABILITY AND UNABLE TO WORK. SHE HAS DLA SINCE AGE 6 BUT ONLY AT MIDDLE CARE RATE. IF SHE MET CRITERIA FOR GROUP WHO DIDN;T NEED TO LOOK FOR WORK THEN WOULD SHE GET MORE IF ASKED FOR PIP ASSESSMENT POTENTIALLY?
SHE IS COMPLETELY OVERWHELMED AND STUFFED THE UC 50 FORM IN A DRAWER AND ONLY FOUND OUT ABOUT IT DAY BEFORE DUE TO BE RETURNED. IF THEY CALL HER FOR FACE TO FACE ASSESSMENT ID DOUBT SHE;LL COPE AS THE MEETING WITH JOB COACH ABOUT SELF EMPLOYMENT IS PROVING TOO MUCH.
MANY THANKS
