My assessment report dispute. was created by phrank
Hi all,
Just a thought.
As I am sure some of will be aware, I have sent a strong letter to the DWP about the length of the award recommended by the assessment provider.
I have not mentioned anything about a Mandatory Reconsideration, but merely argued my points against what it says on the report. My MP has also been in contact with the DWP as has my GP.
My question is simply this: surely there is no way the DWP could mistake this for a Mandatory Reconsideration as I haven't even received the decision letter yet?
Probably my mind working overtime here but a teeny bit of doubt suddenly crept in.
As usual any feedback would be invaluable.
Regards,
Phrank.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi phrank
I would stop thinking for now as you can cause yourself to overthink things and then get stressed out.
Asking the Decision Maker to look at the length of any award is not the same as asking for a MR.
We are all waiting for the decision with bated breath

Hi Gary,
Thanks, I didn't really think they could get that mixed up about things!
Just, as you say, me over-thinking things. It's just that I read in another post where the advice was to make sure to point out thst it's not an MR.
Anyway, I'm fine with it really - just the nagging doubts that come and go from time to time.

Phrank.

Hi phrank
We advise that when a claimant is disputing the award suggested by the assessor, in your case you are not disputing the suggested award only the length of the award.

Hi Gary,
Thanks,my mistake. Now I understand. That's my fault for not reading properly but only scanning the negatives, which is one of the things that I do automatically.

Phrank.
