I’ve been reading a lot about DWP saying they have not received forms back from people even though they have sent them.
If you sent your forms back on a recorded/signed for service so it can be tracked,
Once the tracking says it’s been delivered does this count as they have received your form and therefore you have met the deadline for it being returned
Or does it have to be logged onto their system before it counts as being received

Hi Pinkpenquin,
I don't know for sure, but I suspect places like DWP get huge amounts of post and there is no doubt a large postal room. The postal clerk presumably receives the post and perhaps opens the envelope. It may not be him who then updates the system, it could be another. I suspect this does take a while to be done. I don't think it is a big problem. I'm not aware of anyone losing benefit when they have sent eg forms back on time but the system hasn't been updated. There would certainly be a right of appeal if benefit was lost in this way and you have proof of posting.
I hope this helps.

Thankyou LL26 for your very prompt reply.
Like most people it’s been a few years since I had to submit forms etc, and it’s seems a lot has changed. Although not that feeling of anxiety and stress…
I like others received a letter stating my review had been extended, until mid 2022 due to COVID-19 only for the dreaded brown envelope to drop on my mat last week….
