PIP Review was created by Darthy
Hello people. Just had to go through my PIP review. Although it started off a little traumatic I have just had my PIP award letter today. I am on enhanced mobility and standard daily living.
Apart from picking up an extra point on standard living now giving me nine points (didnt expect to reach enhanced as I believe I am not entitled to the full wack) my award has stayed the same of which I am really grateful considering the difficult times we are living in.
Being very paranoid of the DWP and using this site as my first point of research (which I have done for a good few years now) I did my homework reffered to my old form and added my new FME and saved a copy of this. Sent off form recorded delivery. Then had brown envelope telling me they hadn't recieved it which resulted in me a big bloke having a near meltdown. Mrs followed up on this contacted dwp (I cant speak to em anymore) who stated that there is a big backlog with the post due to the Post Office sorting. They said dont worry money wont be cut off straight away as there is several weeks grace (cant remember how many sorry). He said dont worry as we had proof of postage and they would, if forms didnt show up, send out new ones. Mrs contacted PO who said it looks like its lost as nobody signed for it... further panic and more mini meltdowns. On next call PO stated it was lost...great! But they sent a book of first class stamps wooooty not. Mrs phones DWP back telling that the PO says forms are lost but DWP says they now have them...hurrah to the off-liscence.
Was not looking forward to going for my face to face as to reiterate had very bad experience with my ESA one. DWP phones up to as me some questions. Broke my rule of talking to DWP over the phone but I was so done in by the last few weeks I just wanted to bite the bullet. I recorded conversation for backup purposes (told you I was paranoid). Chap was very nice (me still very paranoid that he was so nice but tried to be polite and succinct but heart was doing ten to a dozen) and asked me some questions as he stated i may not have to be called in...bonus!
To reiterate got award letter and I really feel a massive weight has been lifted off me. So a big thank you to you B&W. I now how traumatic this process can be so I just wanted to post and say about the delays at the PO and the positive experience I had after a phone call mini assessment if that was what it was. I dont know if this is the norm result but thats what happened to me and I hope it helps people in some way.
Take care all. Darthy.

Hi Darthy
I have moved your post - so it does not get confused with the other person's post.
Many, many congratulations on your award. Great to hear. And thanks for giving us details of your experience. Recording phone calls is not being paranoid, it's being sensibly cautious!

Hey Darthy,
Great to hear your good news!
How did you record the phone call? If I have to go through a telephone assessment I want to record it but have no idea how.
All best wishes
