Back again!
When I had my last PIP review 2016 (& appeal 2017) I highlighted my issues with Social Anxiety although I did not gain any points for this. I have found this has worsened in the intervening time and even the thought of Zoom meetings or video calls gives me some distress.
That said I married my long term partner (20 years) in August and we did have a small gathering of family and very close friends. In the weeks leading up to this I got very stressed as I still worry what my in-laws think of me and I increased my medication and added in CBD oil, and afterwards my condition went into heavy flare for 3 weeks and is still worse than usual. We did go away about a month afterwards but I cried and considered cancelling even though we would lose our money as I didn't feel up to it.
I feel I need to address this on my review form and was going to put it under the main descriptor but now wonder if it would be better under the final question 'anything else you want to tell us'?
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Hello Stefaniel2001,

Congratulations on getting married and I wish you both a very happy life together.

I think you are wise to address the issues you describe on your review form and I would recommend that you put it under the main descriptor, although you could also put something in the 'anything else' box if you wished.

Thank you Catherine

This is what I am thinking of putting under the 'anything else' section - it will be at the end after mentioning my new diagnoses, investigations and meds.

"As an example of how increased stress and activity affect my conditions, recently we got married and had a very small gathering afterwards. I had to pace very carefully and take additional medication including adding the use of CBD oil in the weeks leading up to this and the underlying stress of being in the company of extra people, despite them being family and long standing friends, meant that I went into a big flare up of my fibromyalgia symptoms, this completely incapacitated me for around 3 weeks and my symptoms are still even worse than usual over 2 months later. We had specifically not booked to go away immediately afterwards as we knew I would not be able, but even so 3 weeks later, the day before we were due to leave I found myself in incontrollable tears suggesting that we cancel the short trip, despite the fact that we would lose money as I did not believe I could manage it. The wedding day itself was a lovely happy day, but the impact of both my physical and mental health conditions on the weeks leading up to it and the lasting effects afterwards are difficult to fully quantify to someone who does not experience the limitations they place on me."

I would be interested in your thoughts please

Thanks again :o)

Hi stefaniel2001

I do not see a problem in adding your extra information under 'anything else' section. You just need to make sure you do not add anything that goes against something you have written in your report.

Good luck, make sure you send your form off by recorded delivery.
