Supporting letter from family member question

Hello

This might be a bit of a silly question and I might be over thinking things but.... would it add more weight to a claim if a supporting letter from a family member was hand written as opposed to being typed out on a computer and printed out and signed?

Also who would the supporting letter be addressed to? The cliamant or (To who it may concern)

Thank you in advance for your time

Hi Waxwing

It doesn't matter whether a letter is typed or it is written. The important thing is the content and that it can be read easily.

I would address the supporting letter to 'Whom it may concern'
