Well had my telephone assessment today and I’m not too sure how it went. At times my brain froze and I don’t know if I got across properly how I’m impacted by my disabilities. The assessment lasted about 45 mins. I did have a lot of notes written down and I think that def helped. She did ask had I a mobile phone and do I use social media which I’d seen someone else mention on here and she asked when travelling in a car can I put the seatbelt on myself which was a question I’d not come across before. She also touched on hobbies and could I do housework as well as the standard questions. My advice to anyway yet to have their assessment is to make notes before hand as it can be abit overwhelming and I felt the pace of questioning was fast paced.
I moved your post because it was getting muddled with the answers we were giving to the original post holder.
I think your advice is wise. I'm sorry that you had to go through such an assessment. It is an unfortunate part of the process that some assessors ask more questions that leave you thinking 'what does that have to do with the PIP criteria?' than others. I certainly haven't heard anyone being asked if they can put a seat belt on!
If you want a copy of your assessment report - (PA4 )- you can ring the DWP for it 48hrs after your assessment.
