Hi Logan2
You are supposed to inform the DWP of any changes in your health. People frequently don't and the DWP would be inundated if people informed them of small changes. The question to ask yourself is has the improvement in your heart function led to changes in what you are able to do against the PIP criteria? Make sure that you make it clear when you inform them.

Hi Bis, thank you for the quick reply, if i am truthful, when i spoke to the heart failure team regarding the heart function i told them i was still getting really badly out of breath seemed to me nothing has changed and their words were...well its not your heart it could be your lungs so i am awaiting the outcome of an xray i recently had. so not sure weather to inform them or wait till the results come through, what would you suggest? tell them today or await the outcome of the xray. Much appreciated.

Hi Logan2
Only you can decide when you inform them.
If you are telling them about a change that could potentially lead to a decrease in your money - then you need to inform them straight away.
If you are telling them about a change - in the hope you will receive more money - then you can tell them when you choose.
If you already receive an enhanced rate - and therefore cannot receive additional money - most people leave it until their next review to inform the DWP.
I will reiterate what I tried to say in my previous post - if you have had a change in medication that has had a positive impact on your daily living - then you need to inform them.
In your post your sound as if you still have issues that are being investigated and therefore if you inform them too quickly you might find that someone misinterprets the changes. Only you have the knowledge of your current situation. Make sure you have a clear picture.

Hi BIS, its not about the money enhanced or not, its the thought of going through this process again and losing a legacy benefit to uc. But i now have an idea in which way to go. Much appreciated Logan.
