Universal Credit managed migration p was created by clivegodfrey
Hello
I was reading the guide ESA To UC - A Brief Guide To Migration (Factsheet UC2). On Page 6, paragraph 6, line 6 the following is written.
'It could be argued that the DPW has a vested Interest in delaying managed migration for as long as possible'.
I'm curious why that is and would be grateful if you could throw some light on this.
Thanks very much for your help

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Clive, one reason could possibly be because of the changes then needed for the benefit system and the costs involved?

The simple answer to this is, the DWP are hoping many on legacy benefits will migrate naturally and have to claim UC thus claimants could or be fare worse off?
My advice is don't if possible have a change in circumstances as that could trigger you to UC.
