Good Afternoon ,

I was awarded Pip standard care rate 12 th September 2019 - nothing for mobility

Thereafter , DWP sent me a letter stating they’re going to extend Pip standard rate until end of April 2023

Today , I receive a pip .1043 form , 24 pages long headed ~ ‘ It is time to review your award ‘.
How your disability affects you

It’s dated 2nd June 2022 , thought it’s 11th June 2022 today

They request the form is returned by 2nd July !

Many Thanks for any help and advice

J.

Hi Weymouth

The DWP has not brought the review of your award 'forward'. The DWP has the right to review an award at any time, but reviews typically take place 12 months or less from the award end date. Your award end date is April 2023 and so you have been sent a form 10 months before. This is done so there is plenty of time to process a claimant's form within the current award date.

Hi weymouth321,
to add to BIS's reply, it is normal to ask for a time extension to complete and return the review form, especially as they take up so much of the time to even reach you. You can do this by phone. Just be sure to call before the time runs out and to note all you can about who you spoke to and when, in case of any later argument. Don't forget to keep a copy of the completed form for yourself.
When you do return the form be sure to use a recorded delivery postal service, the extra cost is worth it for the proof they got it, as they have so much paper it's not rare for it to end up in the wrong pile, then they claim they never got it as the easiest get-out for them. So get and keep that proof.
Best wishes,
Denby
