I don't have problems speaking or hearing as such but I've developed a severe social anxiety which prevents me from contacting anyone and relying on my carer to do all interaction. Does it count in this descriptor?

We can never say for certain whether someone will be awarded a particular descriptor because we don't know you, but if you are unable to communicate and have to rely on your carer, this is something that would potentially fit under this descriptor.

If this is for ESA/UC as your previous posts suggest then I would not expect you to score for this activity.

Activities 1-10 can only score where the underlying cause of the limitatin is a physical one, 11-17 cover mental health issues,
