Challenge a PIP report was created by Lb777
Hi I’ve recently had a video assessment for PIP it was about a week ago and I followed the advise on here to request my report as soon as possible and I’ve received it today, only my report I’ve received no decision etc as of yet but my report suggests I’ll receive 6 points for daily 8 for mobility

the report isn’t as bad as I expected it to be but there is a few things on it that I feel she hasn’t fully understood or taken into consideration money management is 1 I have a gambling problem I’m in debt upto my eye balls and I compulsively spend I just don’t value money like I should I feel I should of scored something for this and for a few other questions. I’m currently trying to get a ADHD Diagnosis but I’ve not included that in my pip at all yet as I have no evidence of it as of yet I’ve only included the things I can prove with records

So my question is do I wait for the official decision how likely are they to follow the report or can I send it what I don’t agree with now

Thanks in advance

HI Lb777

You have a very small window of opportunity to write to the decision maker, say where you disagree with the report, and explain what points you think you should have scored. At the end of the letter, say that you reserve the right to put in a Mandatory Reconsideration, if necessary after the decision is made. The letter should be addressed to "The Decision Maker" and send it to the address on your last correspondence.

Thankyou for your help as always

Should I post this off or send it through the link online where I’ve been uploading any of my evidence as I did an online from so most of my stuff has been online.

Do I kind of write this out as if it’s a MR but just put the part about my right to a MR

If you are going to write a letter then it will need to be posted, the online page you are using is solely used for the assessment process and will not now be looked at again.

Gordon’s advice is good. I would suggest that you add info around your possible ADHD. Just because you do not have a confirmed diagnosis it impacts your daily life. It’s difficult to add extra information at this stage (prior to MR), but when you find areas to challenge their understanding eg Money, think about how your potential ADHD impacts on your day to day functioning. Those thoughts/behaviour are there with or without a diagnosis. You can use it to support your belief that they haven’t taken your administering of money into account.
