Hey can anyone help me. I live in Bulgaria and get my pip paid to me out here. I found out, January I think that pip had sent me a award review form to fill in and return. I had had it and it so I rang them and after waiting half hour got through. They told me that one had been sent out to me in Nov, I told them that I had received nothing.. They said dont worry about it, its the post, this is happening, they gave me a date and I had to ring back to let them know if it had come. They said they would send another weeks went by and it did not come, and each time I rang I was given a further date to ring by and they said they had sent another, a few times it was answered by someone in a call centre in another country. A form finally arrived in March, I filled it in and sent it back 21st March 2023, then 2 more arrived. The last date was I had to ring them by was the 6th April 2023, but since I sent the forms back I have twice weekly been ringing PIP in England on 08001214433, trying to tell them its come, that I had filled it in and its been sent back. But what happens when I ring is, I am waiting on average 45 mins per phone call for the ringing phone to be picked up, only for it to go silent and then I am cut off. This happened every time I have rang, sometimes a few times a day, twice a week, since March. They have now stopped my money, I have received nothing the last 2 months now and I cannot get through to them to find out what is happening and to try get my money started again. I have written 2 letters to them at Personal Independence Payment ,Post Handling Site B, Wolverhampton, WV99 1AH, the 2nd today, but I am wary about sending letters from this post office, and I have heard nothing from the 1st letter, no letter, no email if they send them, and had no phone call. I have rang other pip numbers that I have found online and they are always answered after 1 or 2 rings but they are always only for people wanting to put a pip claim in. I dont know what to do, can someone help me.

Hi roythepower

There is a massive backlog with PIP, if you receive our newsletter, in yesterdays edition it stated;

Almost half a million callers to the PIP helpline in the month of April were deliberately disconnected by the DWP before they could even wait in a queue, a freedom of information request by Benefits and Work has revealed.

In May, we asked the DWP to tell us the number of calls made to the PIP Enquiry Line which were cut-off.
The DWP provided us with the following statistics:

February
Calls put in queue 415,552
Calls blocked 34,860

March
Calls put in queue 488,965
Calls blocked 306,865

April
Calls put in queue 388,265
Calls blocked 494,044

benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/almost-half-a...isconnected-in-april

All we can advise is keep trying, best time to try and call is first thing in the morning 8.00 am GMT
