pip review was created by Csm
Wife received a text message regarding sending her a pip review form and to call them if not received in two weeks.
Two weeks are about up, and surprise surprise, it hasn't arrived.
I'm guessing this pip review will have a time limit attached? so will these lost two weeks effectively eat into the time allocated to complete the form as we don't want to be rushed filling it out.?
also has anyone else had this happen to them? and what outcome came of it?
I hope this all makes sense as its been over four years since we had to go through this and the 6th tribunal which we won thanks to B&W
Thanks for any replies

Hi Csm

Yes, the PIP form will have a time limit attached, and it's four weeks from the date on the letter. However, as soon as you receive it, ring up and ask for a two extension, and it will automatically be granted. Some people have even been granted second extensions - just don't leave it until the last minute to ask. If you have received the form in another week, I would ring just to check that it has been sent out.

Hi,

I recieved PIP form 1043 today in the post. When I opened the letter the form was dated 1st of June to be returned by July 1st (Saturday next). How does it take over 3 weeks for a form to get to London from Wolverhampton? After reading the stories in the newsletter about how DWP are cutting off callers I can't help feeling this may be deliberate! I tried calling today (office was closed) and will continue to on Monday. I doubt think I can get all the evidence and fill out the form by say Wednesday to get it back to them by next Saturday. If I don't get through will they cut my claim for sure and would there be a right to appeal given the circumstances? Or will they just blame the Post Office. In quite a flap about this right now.

Thanks for reading.

Hi, thanks for reply, Ive had 13 years and this is the 7th!review.!
So now id say we know some of the 'tricks' , maybe that's a bold statement ?. used to ruin an application. This one i was expecting so waited the full two weeks as suggested in the text message.
Did as instructed and now waiting for the pip review to arrive. the date for the completed has been extended two weeks but to use the first one if it arrives, that I'm dubious about as if you forget to mention you had to call for a replacement pip review form then the receive by date will have expired.
However , i do record all calls as they do our own personal use and given we go from full awards to no awards to full awards to half an award for an illness that's not going to change and with consultant letters to verify it, we find having to constantly fight the DWP a struggle and stressful experience, one we could really do without but thanks to B&W we have the tools and help we need to see us through

Hi
First of all DONT give up! Call them as soon as you can and tell them the situation as they will have to extend the deadline.
Personally i feel this is a deliberate ploy to get people of the benefits they are entitled too.
I called the other day and i was amazed they answered the phone in under 40 minutes! Waiting can be frustrating i know but you just have to persevere. The stories of the DWP cutting people off is something ive experienced personally so not a myth! however if your waiting for your call to be answered i did notice that after and hour they line would go dead which would suggest an automatic disconnect rather than the DWP putting the phone down.
Last tip, when you send your form back, get a proof of posting from the post office . Paying for a signed delivery is pointless as it goes to a PO box in Warrington.
Hope that helps and good luck
