Hi
Looking for some advice for someone who is about to turn 66 in Scotland, they are in receipt of ESA and DLA(care and mobility) and have a mobility car at the present time which is used to drive them about as they live rurally and cannot use public transport. Will this be stopped at age 66? Will they be required to apply for attendance allowance or adult disability payment??

The answer to your question is Yes and No
Will ESA stop when they reach state pension age, Yes, depending on their circumstances they may be eligible to claim guarantee pension credit, they should apply for their state pension 3 months before they reach state pension age, they can apply for Guarantee Pension Credit 4 months before they reach state pension age; www.gov.uk/pension-credit
Will DLA stop when they reach statepension age, No, their claim will carry on. As they were born after 08/04/1948 they will at some stage be asked to apply for PIP in Scotland this is now called ADP, your friend will need to speak to their local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk ,

They cannot apply for Attendance Allowance as they receive DLA, AA is the same as DLA without the mobility component.
Adult Disability Payment in Scotland is taking the place of PIP, they may be ask to apply for ADP as they are in receipt of DLA.

TRANSFER FROM ADULT DLA TO ADP
Adults who are resident in Scotland, currently receive DLA and who were under 65 when PIP was introduced on 8 April 2013 will be transferred to ADP.9 Were it not for the introduction of ADP, people in this situation would, at some stage, have been invited to claim PIP and may or may not have been awarded it. As with PIP to ADP transfers, claimants will be transferred to the equivalent rate of ADP.
