Hello! Pip was created by Agis
I had received a letter from pip that they were not able to do my assesment on time and my PIP might be extended till July 2024.

But then today at 10 PM I had received this message:

Hello from Independent Assessment Services. We conduct Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions DWP. This is for information purposes only, to let you know that we are managing your PIP assessment. We will look at the available evidence and will contact you with an appointment if we need to have a consultation with you. You can find information about the service we provide at www.mypipassessment.co.uk. You do not need to contact us.

What all of this means? Because the letter said that they are extending it till 2024, now this...

Hi Agis

We have heard from fellow members who have received similar letters.

The assessors may have enough information to carry out a paper assessment.

Hi Agis,

Yes I have received the same letter & text i.e. extending award until July 2024.

All it means is that they will continue to pay you until then. It is just because of the backlog. However they can still do a review either telephone or F2F between now and July 24.

That is my understanding

Good luck

Hello Gordon.

But isn't it a bit contradictory that first they send a letter that they didn't make it on time with review and possibly it will be extended till 2024 and straight after that you get a text message at 10 PM at night that assesment centre has your review form and you will be contacted when they need to? So it seems the assesment is coming soon? Thank you, agata

Hi Agis

PIP reviews are carried out up to a year before the award's end date. So yours was extended until 2024, and therefore your review was likely to happen sometime in 2023.
