PiP mandatory reconsideration was created by Susan coy
Hi I put in my pip form 14 months ago as I was due for a review, I finally got my telephone call to be assessed the lady said several lies, and when I got my letter from DWP they awarded me what I got before, they totally missed out two parts that would have awarded me 12 points.
Anyhow I’ve sent off a mandatory reconsideration stating the 3 things that I felt was wrong, and what I felt I should have scored and why, my question to you is should I have had a text that said they had received it, and also how long does it take DWP to look at it again bearing in mind that I have already took them 14 months to get to this stage.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Susan Coy
No, they don't send out text messages for Mandatory Reconsiderations, and there is no time limit on how soon you should hear anything. It could be within six to eight weeks, but it may be much longer.

I got one telling me they had received it. Then got another one mid June saying they will be looking at it on the 29th July. Hertfordshire area so maybe different areas do and others don’t bother. Took away my enhanced in both and gave me standard mobility only. Trying to get standard daily living. Just hoping they don’t take away the standard mobility as well just to be nasty.

Thank you for replying, I’m predicting another long wait, so if it happens earlier it will be a bonus.
