Pip reconsideration was created by Filey
Hiya. About 6 years ago pip stopped my sons allowance and after taking it to a tribunal, we won and pip was awarded again. After a ten minute phone call from a health assessor his pip has stopped again and pip has turned down the mandatory reconsideration so I am appealing to the tribunal again. Last time I wrote about 30, 40 pages to the tribunal which they reffered to at the hearing. I'm wanting to know, can I submit these same papers, along with new things I want to write to them or is it best to start everything from the beginning , writing the whole lot again? I would appreciate any advice please.

Hi Filey

You can submit your previous report - I would. Make sure though, that you explain why it is there and don't just expect them to read it and make the right connection. Then make sure that whatever you write in addition addresses the most recent form and mandatory reconsideration. Have you actually rang the DWP and asked for a call back from a case manager to explain why they think your son's condition has improved? (They are supposed to offer this). You might not want to do that, but it might also be interesting to add the answer to your appeal submission.

Thank you very much. I sent the mandatory reconsideration and what they have wrote is totally unexpected, it confused me as they have never wrote that before. Do you mean for me to ring them now, even after they have refused the mandatory reconsideration?

Hi, thank you very much. Do you mean for me to ring them again even though they have refused the mandatory reconsideration? On their refusal letter they've wrote something that they've not wrote before and it's confused me . I was trying to photo it , to show on here. Debbie.

Hi Filey

Yes, you can ring them now and ask them in which way your son's health has improved. They should be able to justify this to you and give you an oral explanation of their decision. A ten-minute conversation seems as if they had made the decision before the call.

Thank you very much. I will do that. The call was out the blue from a health assessor who dwp passed it on to. She spoke only about his work for 10 minutes and that was it. Thanks again for your help. Debbie.
