Health Assessment Advisory Service - ESA support group was created by Chocolady
Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help or support. I am in ESA support group. The last ES50 review I filled out was 03/11 version. Since then I’ve had pip reviews, a PIP face to face in 2019 and a PIP review last year which awarded me pip until 2025. Ive now received a letter from the health assessment advisory service (whoever that is) based in london and what is a esa 08/20 form to fill in. My questions are: is this just a simple review or will it be another face to face medical regardless. It mentions I may have to attend in the letter saying this group is responsible for carrying out medicals on behalf of dwp. Ive read through the esa guides and I can’t see where it explains what happens in terms of filling out the forms if you are already in the support group. Also the letter doesn’t mention the support group but just says I’m getting it as ive claimed or already get ESA. It does seem like these forms are coming at me thick and fast having only completed a pip face to face in 2019, a review in july last year and now this for ESA and then another PIP review in august next year! Nothing has changed with my health conditions so it’s all very stressful! Also I was thinking of getting help to fill it out online and printing it has anyone had any negative issues with that? A lot of my evidence (doctors letter, mri scan, letter from someone who knows me, fracture details) is still from my pip review last July so is it necessary to get bang up to date stuff? Sorry for all the questions but this has come a bit out of the blue.

Hi Chocolady
The review process for ESA claimants is the same regardless of what group they are placed in. Review forms are sent out, you fill them in, and when returned, the assessment services decide your assessment type. This could be a paper-based, face-to-face, video or telephone assessment.
Filling out the form online. Some people have done it successfully, and some others have had difficulties. I can't give you any judgement because it's not something I've tried.
If your evidence is only a year old, that will be fine.

Hi, I've been in the esa support group since 2013. I have also recently been sent a form to fill in. I have heard of a lot of people who have been left alone for years also getting the form. I think they are doing a purge on people for some reason. Good luck with the form.
