It's impossible for me to say what will make a difference between a yes and a no because plenty of people appear to fill out the form well, have all the right evidence and still get turned down. All I can say is our guides are good, and if you follow the advice and you meet the criteria, you will have a fighting chance.

When filling in the form, a lot of claimants assume that the people reading it will have knowledge of their medical conditions and should therefore understand their difficulties. That isn't necessarily the case, so don't assume they will understand - you have to explain what impact your condition has on the specific PIP criteria,

You can write what you want on your form under other information providing it is relevant, remember to add the "Why" part

i.e. "Why" did you call 111

Doctors appointment letters not so useful, but a prognosis letter will help. If you see a specialist ask them to send you a copy of the report that they send to your doctors. They can be very useful, but check them carefully before adding them as evidence.

You can ring and ask to switch to online, but some people have had problems with the online system. You could just ring and ask for a two-week extension to send your form back. Don't leave it until the last minute. They will grant you the extension.
