Please can I ask a question about the monitoring therapy part?
I’ve seen the following statement, does it include just therapy done in my own home or can it cover attending physio lead sessions in their offices?
“Therapy” means therapy to be undertaken at home which is prescribed or recommended by ….
Thank you

Hi Karen
It can include something you privately fund - but the DWP have been known to ignore it.

Thank you that’s really helpful. I’ve got supporting evidence for it although appreciate they may still ignore it!!! Seems crackers you can’t count the same treatment if you have it outside the home…if you need it you need it…but a lot of PIP rules seem strange to me. Thanks again.

Would this apply to psychology therapy, I've been seeing a psychologist for 6 months and getting a complex mental health therapy called "Schema Therapy" I see my psychologist 3 times a month within the psychology dept at the hospital, but much of this therapy continues at home with support from family and friends and will it only benefit me if this input out with my sessions with her
Thank you
