My son has Crohn's, Sleep Apneoa, a perforated disk in his lower back and has been awarded standardcare and mobility for PIP and placed in the Support Group for New Style ESA.
He has been told he must have an 'Assessment' for UC to see if he has limited capacity for work.
Having had assessments for PIP and ESA does he really have to go through a third?
Is this a new claim for UC? If it is then he should contact UC via his journal to inform them that he already has an award of NS ESA, this award should automatically be applied to his UC claim, without reassessment, however, this is a manual process which is likely why it has not already been picked up.
If the UC claim is not new and he is already in the LCWRA Group, the UC equivalent of the Support Group, then it would appear that he is being reassessed and needs to complete the UC50 he will receive if has not already done so. Be, aware the result of this assessment will apply to his NS ESA as well.
