Hello, I wonder if anyone can advise me please? I have been in receipt of Contributions Based ESA (support group) for some years now. I recently inherited a lump sum and understand that this is not treated as income. However I wonder if the interest on it is treated as income? Many thanks for any help you can give me.

You are correct, savings will not affect your CB ESA.

Interest will be treated as income for tax purposes, the same as CB ESA.
