Hi
I received an award review from Pips to be returned by 11/08/2023. It says they last looked at my claim on 25/07/2018, however I had a review in 2020. I was turned down but won before it went to the tribunal. I was awarded standard daily living and enhance mobility on 28/09/2020 until 11/03/2024. The award was then extended to 11/12/2024 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The letter for the review says that my pips will stop if I don’t return it. My question are they right in doing this?

Hi Westood12
In the past when you won at a Tribunal the DWP told people to apply again, but I know a member recently reported being told that they were trying to send out review forms to those who won at Tribunal. Review forms are normally sent out a year before the end date, but recently some people have been having theirs nearly a year and a half before the end date - which is what seems to have happened in your case.
The DWP has the right to send out review forms whenever they like and yes, they can stop a payment if a form is not returned. In your case, I would ring and ask them what's going on and say you were reviewed in 2020. I suspect it won't make any difference and you will have to complete the form. You don't want to find yourself without money.
