I had a pip assesment today and I don't feel it went well. What is next that I can do apart from waiting 6 to 8 weeks. I read on their website that I can only get report when decision is made is that true. I'm becoming quite suicidal. Thanks for any advice.

Hi Agis,

Unfortunately I believe it's one of them things where you have to play the waiting game. After your assessment, there's usually 1 of 2 outcomes - you win an award by meeting the points requirement for Daily Living and/or Mobility, or you fail to meet the points required, and then you go down the Mandatory Reconsideration route, which until you get your decision, it's best not to contemplate, because worrying can make things much worse. Trust me, I've been down this route a few times with "What ifs? and When is? etc" - If you're feeling like you're struggling to cope, I would advise ringing Samaritans, they're trained professionals, no matter what your issue, and will help and support you through the tough times. The number can be found on Google, just type in Samaritans and it'll pop up for the area where you're based. Try stay strong and remember there's always help no matter what the issue.

Kind regards, Chris

p.s. Please let me know if you require any further help, or are struggling to find the contact details or anything. There's always Talking Therapies too, but that's of a longer waiting time, as you get put on a list to see a Therapist.

A

Assessors should be submitting their reports to the DWP within 24 hours although this does not always happen. Give the DWP a call next week and ask for your PA4 to be sent to you.

Thank you. Unfortunately I feel it went really badly due to my own fault. I am becoming quite suicidal. Not sure how I will survive the weekend.

Hi Agis, to reinforce what Gordon has said, do call for the report, called PA4. Sometimes the call centre agent may lie to you and try to tell you that you are not entitled to have it. Hence the rumour you have read. But you are [only not putting in capitals not to upset screen reader tech], you really are, entitled to it. So if told not, just say 'oh thanks', hang up, and try again till you get one who says OK.
Hoping you feel calmer soon, we all have your back here,
Denby
