First time success with PIP application

We were successful with his PIP application - enhanced rates for both daily living & mobility awarded for 2 years :)

Your guides were just indispensable - we were given the on line application form to compete which is so much easier than the written form. Much easier to write a few things, save and then go back. I did everything on word first then cut & paste into the form. and followed your guide to the T .

Sadly he wasn't given his face to face assessment which we requested after he was sent a telephone appt. Goes to prove they don't actually read the form before they send appt's out - he has aphasia after a stroke and dystonia when he often experiences full body freezes - quite how he was supposed to speak on a phone was beyond me. We had it swapped to a teams meeting but on the day they admitted they had got it all wrong with wrong link and so we had the telephone assessment anyway. I had to speak on his behalf due to his problems - 2hrs and 40mins!!!! 19 pages of written testimony. Copious evidence from people
involved in his care. It was so stressful and quite a few times I had to object to some questions which were not for them to question around his current treatment.

So a huge THANK YOU to Benefits & Work and to all of you applying - good luck and continue to fight fr what is rightfully yours to lead a dignified and fulfilled life
