Email address for PIP Appeals Tribunal Service anyone? was created by Porridge
Hello, I hope you are well.
I would like to track my PIP Appeal. I have had to employ a “representative” because I did not feel able to do the appeal by myself.
I do not know how to track my appeal and it was not me that submitted it. The representative I contracted does not respond to emails very much or in good time. It’s a bit haphazard out there when you have to ask someone from the private sector to help you with your appeal and you don’t know whether you will get someone good or bad at communicating because there are no reviews for these types of providers. There was no choice in my case as all the local services for disabled people have shut down and CAB had no capacity to help people (too many other crises to deal with).
Anyway, when I phone HMCTS there is longer than an hour wait for them to pick up the phone and I always end up giving up. Is there an email I can contact them on so that I can ask them to drop me a text or an email to update me with any news about my appeal. Have they got an email address?
Thanks so much. Px

Hello Gary, thank you so much. I hope you are well.
I did phone again and this time a gentleman at the appeals tribunal service set up an account so that I could track the appeal. He was kind and helpful. The DWP are supposed to respond in some way to my appeal in four days time, but I still have not received any response at all from the DWP to my appeal. I presume the DWP will miss the deadline to respond. I also had a new Doctor’s statement which sets out specifically and in a great deal of detail how and why my disability affects my ability to move around and I uploaded that report to the HMCTS within my appeal account/portal, do you know whether or not the Tribunal Service would have sent a copy of that report out to the DWP, as it was very unambiguous about my situation and very strong evidence?
Kind regards, Porridge

Hello Gary, I hope you are well. Please dispose of this reply if the other reply I submitted a few moments ago worked (it seemed to disappear?)
Please can you tell me if the HMCTS usually, and as a matter of course, send a copy of any new evidence that an appellant send to the HMCTS to the DWP, or is the appellant supposed to also send new evidence to the DWP as well as sending it to the HMCTS?
Do you know if the DWP is falling apart at the seams and frequently failing to respond in time, or even at all, to PIP appeals currently? It only has a couple of days left to respond to my appeal and it has not done so.
Kind regards
Porridge

Hi Porridge
When ever you send in any further evidence to support your appeal to HMCTS, you will receive the same evidence back with page numbers written on each page. DWP will receive a copy of the extra evidence as well as your representative.
I am not sure if DWP are falling apart at the seams but there is certainly a bulge in the pipeline, may need to call in dynorod to unblock the system. I did read today that there were over 200,000 PIP application in the last 3 months.
