ESA50 WCA Decision was created by bytespc
Hello peeps, first of all a big thank you to everyone at Benefits & Work for there continued and invaluable support and information about the minefield that is our Disability Benefits System.
I has my WCA phone interview two weeks ago, the Nurse I had was unbelievably helpful and apologetic about the whole procedure, I have only 10 months to go before I'm shot of ESA for good ( State Retirement Age ) , during the assessment she continually kept mentioning her total disbelief that I'd even had an assessment as on my notes it mentioned the severity of my conditions and that my Support Group decision from 1995 was ongoing and should only have light touch checks for changes and listed the number of times said light touch reviews had taken place.
At the end of my call ( 40 mins ish ) she went out of her way to tell me not to worry and that my award would continue unchanged for the duration of qualification with no further reviews due to time scale .
Today I received my notification of continued payment at the highest rate and support group eligibility without the need for WCA.
I will continue to subscribe as my PIP also renewed and increased this year ( ongoing ) will continue after my retirement.
Thank you once again for your invaluable support, also for all those going through the anxiety and sheer hell of ongoing reviews , please remember that help is available and not all of the decision makers and question takers are bad, from my conversation a lot of them feel aggrieved at the way the Gov is treating genuine claimant's.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi bytespc
Congratulations on your successful Work Capability Assessment. That is good to hear. And it's nice to hear that you had an empathetic assessor.
