PA3 assessors report was created by Nessnoss
Bit of background - I sent in my review form last October and I have now had a text saying that the DWP has received the health professional report and I will hear within 4/6 weeks. I called DWP to request a copy of the Paper based report PA3. So I received it today and the report seems a fair assessment and looks like I may be awarded enhanced for daily living and mobility again.

My only concern though is within the report I have received 14 points for daily living ( last awarded I was awarded 21 points.) but i was awarded points in areas in which I am more able to do. Although areas that I struggle with a lot such as verbal communication I have received 0 points. Although I understand this is a report and I still need to wait for the DWP decision but…

I guess my question is if the DWP follow the report I would again be awarded enhanced for both should I accept this as a win and not have to think about it for another 3+ years ?

Although I really disagree with how they have given me 0 point for areas in which I have the most difficulties with.

Hi Nessnoss,

In my personal opinion - I would only contest it if none of your circumstances have changed - then you can argue why you've been awarded less points, and also only if it's going to make a difference to your award amount.
They done the same with me after the HCP report. Absolutely none of my circumstances had changed, but I went from standard Mobility and Daily Living to losing both. I took it all the way to the tribunal stage, but before it got there, the DWP backed down and re-awarded me my original award.

It can be tiring and challenging, and a long wait, but can be worth it in the end.

Hope this helps,

Regards, Chris.
