Social Broadband and Phone Contracts was created by weymouth321
Please could you clarify whether those claimants of PiP are entitled to Social B/B and Phone contracts, such as £12 or £20 per month.
Do these companies run a check on the copper / fibre connection to one’s house / area ; therefore , one can be refused on this basis ?
Many Thanks, J.

Hi weymouth321
My understanding of the social tariffs are that you have to be in receipt of a means tested benefit, PIP is not means tested, therefore I would say PIP claimants are not entitled.
Same applies to free prescriptions, you have to be in receipt of means tested benefits.

Hi Gary ,
I’ve been looking at Vodafone Contracts as I’m thinking of moving from my current one ; who does offer B/B and phone package tariff ( there is 2 to choose from ) one at £12 or one at £20 per month , to those claiming PIp , fill in the short claim box.
Many Thanks, J

Hi weymouth321,
Can I make a suggestion ? I was with Vodafone for 2 years and was paying £20 per month, and the last several months was £26 per month with speeds of 57mbps. I
I have just signed up to the new 3 broadband offer which is 3 months free, then £20 per month on a 2 year contract. I'm getting speeds of up too 300mbps, and there's no phone line needed. It was easy to set up once I'd got past the sim card registration details, but I highly recommend them.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Chris.
