Should I send further evidence? was created by traceytracey
Hi all,
Hope everybody is keeping well:)
My PIP review was sent last December which I returned. I have had the normal 3 monthly texts saying it is in progress and they will be in touch, which is not a problem as I know they will contact me at some point. I have had an extension until July 24.
My question is this-- My health has deteriorated over the last 3 months, hospital admissions, lung problems etc (side affect of RA). Is it worth sending more evidence now? or will they go by the evidence only that was sent with the review bundle? I know that when you initially claim for PIP they go by the evidence sent at the time and base any review on that evidence only.
If it is worth sending, do I send to DWP or the people that would carry out the review?
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
Kind regards and keep well

Hi traceytracey ( a name so good, you have to say it twice, right ? ) - Me personally, I've always waited to send evidence, as most of the time, my claims have went to the courts tribunal stage, and then I've just submitted it online - but if you do have any, and wish to send it earlier, you should've been sent a form with a long number on it, which relates to your claim. If you send the evidence (making sure to write your N.I No on every sheet), then a copy of the page on the top with your reference number, then I'm pretty sure they'll add it to your current evidence - although as to whether it'll make any difference with the DWP, who knows ? They seem to make up their own evidence after you've had an appt with an HCP.
Regards, Chris.
