IF YOU CAN ASSIST/ADVICE

We wanted to know if you'd be able to give advise/help on your doctors surgery being able to dispense medication due to severe difficulty. They can't currently because 1 mile of pharmacy but they have no parking have slope or steps the into bulding & have to park a distance when severe copd etc. Have you heard of this or is it outside of your area etc. Thank you kindly

Just fyi. Surgeries that have patients living further than a mile from their nearest pharmacy, can choose if they wish [remember they are private businesses that do a deal with the NHS to provide GP and other services] - to be "Dispensing Practices." This means they have an in-house pharmacy. But it is legally only open to patients who qualify by living over a mile from any normal pharmacy.
This applies no matter how inaccessible a pharmacy under one mile from the patient's home address might be in practice. I'm sure this is the basis of the question.

Thank you very much for replying. You got it that the chemist is before the doctors surgery so g.p can no longer dispense to us. But is a problem has steps ramp etc but severe copd and you cannot park outside it either bit the doctors you could. Thank you kindly

Hi info. Just an idea. Would the chemist agree to nip out and hand you your prescription through the car window if you were to stop as close as possible outside and phone them? After all that would cost them less than doing a home delivery would.
