Good Afternoon,
My Ex Husband is homeless, he has no source of in come, he has nothing, and isn’t very well, he isn’t claiming benifits, no fixed address, and hasn’t claimed benifits for many years.
If I let him sofa surf at mine for a temporary stay, until he has managed to get some help from the benifits agency and accommodation, will my benifits be affected in any way.
I’m not well, I have lots of health problems, and cannot have any stress. Please can you advise the best way going forward with this matter.

I'm afraid your question is outside the scope of the forum, and although I don't think it should affect your benefit - I don't want to give you incorrect information.
I would advise you to ring Shelter and see if he can get their help. There is an online webchat if neither of you can phone - england.shelter.org.uk/get_help
And I would see if there is a specialist welfare advisor in your area to see if you can get an instant answer:

You can also ring the DWP , but I can understand you might not want to do that!
I hope you find a solution that works for both of you.

If you phone Citizens Advice Help to Claim they will organise his Universal Credit claim for him up until his first payment. The Citizens Advice phone no is 0800 1448 444. More info in the link below.....
