Pip, further information was created by madmanx
Hi my disabled nephews pip renewal form was filled in by his special needs school as they could write a report on him, but I have a problem, basically my nephew needs somebody with him all tne time when he goes out to any place to keep him safe, (was awarded enhanced mobility for this when he was originally assessed 2 years ago) but on looking at the photocopy of the form that was sent, the school has ticked that he can walk 50 to 200 meters aided or unaided, I'm a bit confused here as he can walk more then 200 meters but somebody has to be with him all the time when he goes out.

Also I see that they have put that he needs an aid to do this? I thought this was wrong as he needs somebody with him and don't know if another person is an aid so I put needs assistance instead.

I don't know if that is right , so I Don't know if I should write to dwp about this explaining this I,m a bit confused about this, they have only received the form a week ago so if I was to write to dwp do I send it for the attention of the decision maker at the address on the form? Should I send a letter about this or leave it? Any help be nice.

Hi madmanx

As the special needs school has completed the form they will know your disabled nephew.

I would just wait to see what happens next, you may be overthinking things.

With mobility, there are two questions;

1) Planning and following a journey; he may come under (f)
2) Moving around; he may come under (b)
