How do I put the new diagnosis in PIP review but state that I had those symptoms even last time they assessed me so it’s not a change?

Hi Clossy
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.
The way I get round it, is to state when the symptoms started and then state when they were diagnosed, ideally you would want proof of diagnosis. If you saw a specialist, quite often they will write a history in the report.
In a PIP review, treat the review as if it was a new claim, the worse thing to write is no change, always write an explanation on how your condition affects you. If you need extra paper don't forget to write your name, national insurance number and page number on each page you sent it.

Put my new review in for pip in June, and my esa. ESA have continued me on support group but pip have sent me a letter to say they having finished with my review and extended it till next december or until they finish. What is taking them so long to do the review. Do ESA and pip not communicate.

Thank you. I don’t have a copy of my previous forms, i have memory problems so I think I lost them or something.
Hopefully I can give them enough to just do paper based review.
I already got 5 A4 pages for just the diagnoses part and my medication part…
Why their forms are so small with no space to put everything!
I have a ton of evidence should I send everything? I had Ocupational health assessment too for my ex work which states I am too sick now to even work from home. I used to work before my organ failure 3 years ago.
Or they will see those from ESA claim?
Thanks so much

Hi Sainsbury,
I believe it's 2 different sections, even though it's the same place as such, so I wouldn't imagine they communicate - no one seems to anymore these days.
Regards, Chris.

Hi Clossy,
Just send the evidence that is beneficial to your claim, but if you have a mobile phone, I would take photo's of what you send, then you have some form of evidence at least, and this can always be printed out at a later date, should it need to be.
Remember to include your NI number, so if anything is misplaced, they can relate it back to your claim.
Hope this helps,
Regards, Chris.
