Re-applying for PIP instead of tribunal

Hi all,

A kind of hypothetical question...

If I decided not to go to tribunal, can I re-apply for PIP with the same conditions? If so, after how long? Do I have to wait a certain amount of time?

I know I shoul go to tribunal to get money back dated, but I'm not sure I can face it, so am considering all options!

Thank you for helping.

Hi Mitch,
Yes you can re-apply,assuming you were totally refused benefit. However given that DWP has already refused it is likely that they would refuse again. If so, you would be no further forward, would still need a tribunal and won't get any money back dated from the initial claim.
You might have a better chance of success if you can show a decline in health.
I hope this helps.
